About Doodles
First: the wiki page
Our current litter at Crooked River Farms, is a cross between Lavender and Maui. Both are Goldendoodles.
Lavender, the mother, is an F1B Goldendoodle. This means that Lavender’s mother, Luna, is a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. This is a first generation Goldendoodle, called F1. Lavender’s father, Coco, is a Standard Poodle. Lavender is an F1B because she was bred ‘back’ to a Poodle. That makes Lavender 25% Golden Retriever and 75% Poodle.
We can’t promise size, shedding, or curliness of coat. But we can tell you about the parents. Lavender, who is actually a smallish ‘Standard’ Goldendoodle, weighs 42 lbs and is 21 inches at the shoulder. She has a light red curly coat and does not shed. In general, the curlier the coat, the less shedding and the more ‘hypoallergenic’.
